Media: What is right for you?
Polyester is a generic substitute for Mylar®. Marked with resin ribbons in new bar code printers polyester tags are as tough. They look fresh and neat over extended time. Steam and ultrasonic safe. But you cannot write on them even with marker pens. Polyester tags are also the most expensive. Sigmaflex® is polyethylene film specially coated for writing with markers, ball point pen, pencil, as well as laser and thermal transfer bar code printers. An excellent substitute for polyart® and kimdura®, Sigmaflex® labels are water-proof, grease, oil, chemical, solvent and tear resistant.
