Purchasing Online

Placing Your Orders

  • Shop online and call to order.  If you do not feel comfortable placing your order on the web, simply call 1-888-578-8155 and talk to our sales representative. Our office hours are from 11am to 5 pm, central time.
  • Shop online and reserve it at our downtown Chicago store. You tell us what you want and we will hold it for pick up for up to 24 hours.
  • Shop and order online with a major credit card. Our shopping cart will guide you through processing your order. You may pay with your visa/mc credit card, AmericanExpress, Discover, and Diners' Club on VeriSign. Verisign is a premier OnLine credit card company and they guarantee safety of your sensitive information. Since your credit data are stored with VeriSign and not our computers, your privasy is assured. If you have questions your may send us an e-mail message to sales@unitedjewelers.com, or send fax (312-726 0791) or voice message. You will be contacted within 24 hours, either by e-mail or by phone if you want us to. Please let us know.
  • Pay by check, money order, or certified check.    We will ship only after the check has cleared, which may be from 5 to 10 days after deposit. For quickest clearance wire transfer to our account.
Layaways and Partial Payments
  • Buyers may choose to pay in installments ranging from 2 to 6 payments over a maximum of 3 months. The order form allows for installments. Since each jewelry item is unique and your requirements may vary, we will inform you of any special arrangement that may be mutually agreeable. If you have some specific needs or requests please let us know by email and let us agree on specific terms in writing.
  • If your partial payments are for special orders and changes, in the form of deposit, you will be informed at the time of accepting your order if such payments are refundable, or can be applied to other items. All special orders require 1/3 to full price as deposit. You will be given a delivery date at the time of the order. You will be entitled to withdraw your deposit if such delivery date is not acceptable, or unitedjewelers.com fails to meet its promised schedule. Our staff is available to assist you to make your purchase a pleasant online shopping experience. We keep you informed of progress of your order and notify you if there are snags, or changes.
  • Layaway payments are generally not refundable after 30 days unless agreed otherwise at the time of the order.

  • All information provided while shopping online at unitedjewelers.com is confidential as a result of our state-of-the-art SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. Your credite card information is stored at highly secure credit card company computers, specifically, VeriSign.
  • Your paynments are also very safe at YahooPayments!, Billpoint and Paypal, the three major online payment services.
  • You pay nothing if fraudulent charges are made to your credit card as a result of shopping at unitedjewelers.com. 
  • unitedjewelers.com will refund the full amount of any unauthorized charges less that portion of the charges refunded by the card issuer.

Sales Tax

  • unitedjewelers.com is required by law to report sales and charge sales tax in the State of Illinois. For shipments outside Illinois buyers is responsible for any levies their state may require to pay. 

Privacy Policy

  • unitedjewelers.com will not sell or forward information on your shopping activities, email, phone number, or addresses to other individuals or businesses. We may send you sales offers and other shopping material unless you let us know otherwise.

"Ship To" Address

  • Shipments are limited to the United States and Canada only. 

  • Our shippers will not deliver to United States Post Office Boxes, or military bases. Please supply a verifiable physical address (not a P.O. box address).

  • On select orders, especially when card address and shipping address do not match, we may contact you by phone or e-mail and request additional information.

Shipping Charges

  • Shipping charges will be added to the order total prior to billing. Exact charges can not always be itemized. You will be informed of any additional shipping and insurance charges. Merchandise will be generally sent by PriorityMail, insured.  The OrderForm presents several shipping choices, and related charges, from USPS, UPS, and FedEx. You will receive final invoice for all internet orders. Additional shipping charges and special services, such as, ring sizing, will be listd in your invoice. For delivery to Illinois addresses sales tax will be calculated and added to the order.

Delivery Time

  • Normally, PriorityMail will arrive within 2 to 3 working days depending on your distance from Chicago and your location in metropolitan areas. Please note that it is carrier and not unitedjewelers.com can assure delivery.
  • Please wait 3 to 5 business days to notify us via Email to sales@unitedjewelers.com
    If your merchandise does not arrive in a reasonable time. We will then file a tracer with the carrier. Upon notification from the carrier of non-delivery, the merchandise will be replaced, a credit will be applied, or a refund check will be issued.

Damaged Merchandise

  • In the event damaged merchandise is received, retain the original shipping carton(s) notify us via Email at sales@unitedjewelers.com.

Return Policy
  • If, for any reason, you find it necessary to return any item(s), you have 7 days from receipt of the item. You must notify by e-mail to sales@unitedjewelers.com . We will instruct you, and provide return authorization, about how to return for refund, or if you choose, to take to one of our participating dealers near you.
  • You will be informed of items that cannot be returned. These may include special order items, out-of-stock items that we specifically order or make for you, or items that are altered or changed to meet your requirements. You will be informed of return policy for your specific order at the time of accepting order.
  • Damaged, or misused items, unless it is from manufacturing defect, cannot be refunded.
  • Shipping charges are generally not refundable except under special situations and with prior authorization.
